Feb. 9, 10:00 a.m. at Killip School -- order on line by February 1

It’s time, again, to stock up on a Flagstaff original – Archuleta tamales and enchiladas. You must order by February 1 to stock your freezer for the year. Pickup is February 9 between 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. at Killip Elementary School.

Just to let you know, this is also the Coconino County Democratic Party’s 1st quarterly meeting of the year, but that will be a sideshow compared to the Archuleta food offerings. There will be a brief party meeting and then petition signing and meeting of the candidates.

For the past several years, the Coconino County Democratic Party has held a sale of hand-made Archuleta tamales and enchiladas at Killip School in central Flagstaff. This attracts a huge crowd who want to meet candidates and sign their petitions to be on the year’s election ballot, but most importantly, want the GREAT FOOD.

The Flagstaff public is invited to attend to buy and eat tamales, meet and greet the Democratic candidates, and sign petitions to get candidates on the ballot for the various local and federal offices.

If you wish to order a dozen tamales or enchiladas, or both, to take home, go to the Coconino County Democratic Party website CCDEM.org and fill out the order form online, or call Nicole at 214-0393. Or, you can just click here and get to the order form! Orders must be picked up by 11:30 on the day of the meeting or they will be sold before noon when the event ends.

This is a huge amount of fun and an excellent chance to meet candidates to make up your mind about whom to support. Very few communities have this kind of opportunity to meet their candidates in a casual setting to ask questions and learn first-hand about the issues. Invite your friends and neighbors to attend for a civic experience unique to Flagstaff.
