Flagstaff Symphony regulars may be confused by the fact that this season opens on a Thursday. Alert: don’t miss the concert because you think it is Friday! This one is going to be wonderful.

Thursday’s Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra concert will feature the music of American composer, conductor, and pianist, John Williams. The opening piece is Williams’ March from the movie Superman.

Here are the remaining Williams pieces to be played by the Flagstaff Symphony on Thursday night :

Jaws: Suite

E.T.: Adventures on Earth

Harry Potter: Suite for Orchestra

Raiders of the Lost Ark: March

Schindler's List: Three Pieces

Star Wars: Suite for Orchestra

This will be the 60th annual concert season of the Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra. The over 80 musicians of FSO live in Flagstaff, Sedona, Prescott, Williams, Tempe, Tucson, Parks and Kingman. They have been hard at work this week with acclaimed Maestra Elizabeth Schulze. Featured soloist is violinist and concert mistress, Louise Scott. Come out and enjoy the production!
