For those of you who have been following the adventures of this Flagstaff real estate agent in Las Vegas during last week’s RE/MAX International Convention, here is the last update. Thursday was the last day of the 2008 Convention. The day began for convention attendees with the Susan G. Komen Walk-for-the-Cure. RE/MAX is the exclusive real estate sponsor of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure runs and fitness walks. At the convention, there were 5K and 1K options and also the option to “snooze for the cure” by simply making a donation. I chose the 5K walk and was able to do the distance and even run up the steps on the Las Vegas Strip instead of taking the escalators at the cross-walks. For those of you who are astounded that I could manage this, pick yourselves up off the floor and click here to make a donation to the Susan G. Komen Foundation and help defeat this terrible disease. The general session for the day began at 9 a.m. – a half hour later than the other days in deference to the walk. The keynote speaker was Economist Jeff Thredgold. His outlook was sunnier than that of the economist from Bank of America whom I heard the day before. But that could be explained by Thredgold’s more long-term outlook. I was a bit suspicious that he spoke about the economy for an hour without mentioning the price of oil! Still, I bought his book, EconAmerica, so I’ll let you know more about that later. From 12:30 – 5 p.m., I attended three separate sales/marketing sessions where I picked up a few new tips, but was also pleased to learn that we’re doing the best of the best for our home seller clients in this market. The consensus is that the market we’ve seen for the last year is the market we’ll see for the next year. So if you are planning to sell your Flagstaff home, be ready. We have a plan to help you sell in this market, just contact me. Since I returned to Flagstaff on Friday, it’s been a busy few days listing and selling Flagstaff real estate. Team Heitland is never too busy for you or your referrals of folks ready to buy or sell Flagstaff real estate. Call us at 928-714-0001 |
