| December 11, 2007 | | Meeting Regarding De-Icing and Improvements set for Thursday, December 13 | The Coconino County Public Works Department is hosting a public meeting regarding roadway improvements to Yancey Lane and Stardust Trail in the Doney Park area northeast of Flagstaff. The County’s press release and website state that the project will include grading, drainage improvements, and the installation of asphalt millings on these roads. Initial staking and utility work may begin as early as this month. If you see surveyors on the roads in your neighborhood this month, that may be it. Roadway construction will begin in Spring 2008, weather permitting, and should be complete by early Summer 2008. The public meeting will be held on Thursday, December 13, 2007 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Summit Fire Department, Station 32, located at 8905 N. Koch Field Road in Flagstaff. The meeting will begin with a brief presentation about the County’s De-Icing Program at approximately 6:00 p.m., followed by a discussion about the roadway improvement projects and a question-and-answer session. Meeting participants also will be able to speak one-on-one with County and project staff after the formal portion of the meeting. If there are any questions regarding the public meeting, Doney Park residents are encouraged to contact the toll-free project information line at 866-593-2877. | |
