| March 21, 2010 | | But not for long, according to experts' predictions home loan rates will rise in April | Freddie Mac’s Primary Mortgage Market Survey® for the week ending March 18 showed the 30-year fixed-rate mortgage averaging 4.96% with an average 0.7 point paid to obtain that rate, up barely from the previous week when it averaged 4.95%. Last year at this time, the 30-year rate averaged 4.98 percent. Local mortgage lenders in Flagstaff were telling me this will all change as we move into April when rates will, according to their predictions, be in the 6% range.
