Flagstaff Skiers Dancing in the Streets Today

Another December Snow Storm Hits Flagstaff
Arizona Snowbowl Website
Graphic from Arizona Snowbowl Website

Flagstaff skiers were dancing today as big puffy flakes of snow started to fall this morning and kept up throughout the day. I just checked the Arizona Snowbowl website and at 6 p.m. they claim there has been no snow on the mountain in the last 24 hours, but I suspect they just haven't had time to update the website. Or, there is a big wall of something between the City of Flagstaff and the Snowbowl that I can't see behind the clouds.

Those of us who are trying to get out of town for the holiday are less happy with the snow as the (newly re-formated) Arizona Daily Sun on-line reports "Snow, wind, slippery roadway conditions and numerous collisions and slide-offs may result in the closure of Interstate 17 from Flagstaff to the area of Munds Park, say officials with the Arizona Department of Transportation."

Whatever you do for the holidays in Flagstaff, or elsewhere, be safe!
