Another Busy Weekend of Flagstaff Fun

Of the many things to do in Flagstaff this weekend, here are my picks for the "best" of many wonderful events

Flagstaff’s Theatrikos’ new season opens Friday night with Frame 312, a creative look at the impact of the Kennedy assassination on individual Americans who lived through that time. See a segment of rehearsal on YouTube.com. Here’s the scoop at the Theatrikos website. Performances Friday and Saturday nights and Sunday afternoon.

It’s time again for First Friday Artwalk in downtown Flagstaff. Bring a warm jacket and enjoy mingling with Flagstaff folks. Nibble your way through the art galleries, or enjoy a great meal at one of the many, diverse, restaurants in downtown Flagstaff! Download a map of all Flagstaff art walk stops here.

Hike, drive, or horseback ride on the east side of Flagstaff this weekend. Aspen leaves on the north- and east-facing slopes of the San Francisco Peaks and Mt. Elden have turned, while those on the south and west slopes are still green. The peak of the aspen season will be spread over this weekend and next. As I write this, I’m looking at the beautiful east slope of Mt. Elden with its streaks of Aspen and scattering of colorful oaks nestled among the red rock face.

Have a great weekend in Flagstaff!
