Digging at Elden Pueblo - Courtesy USFS It’s going to be a beautiful, late summer weekend in Flagstaff! What a great place to live!
Friday night, I suggest enjoying a stroll around downtown. The movie at Heritage Square (beginning outdoors at dusk) is Wall-E.
The Flagstaff Light Opera Company, accompanied by the Orchestra of Northern Arizona, will perform Franz Leltar’s classic operetta, The Merry Widow, a musical comedy. Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. Sinagua High School – tickets available at the door: Adults $15; youth and seniors $12.
Saturday is Elden Pueblo Day. This is an opportunity to participate in real archeological digs and tour an ancestral Hopi cultural site. Tours at 10 am, noon & 2 pm, with ancient games afterward. Enter the U.S. Forest Service site at the west side of Highway 89 at Townsend Winona Road.
