Things to Do in Flagstaff This Weekend

#1 – Enjoy the weather! Then go to the theatre and listen to some outdoor music!

Heritage Square in Downtown Flagstaff

Friday night’s outdoor movie at Heritage Square in downtown Flagstaff is The Tale of Despereaux, a rollicking kids’ movie. The movie will begin at dusk and is preceded by music by Redheart. While you’re there, stop in at Flagstaff Photography Center and see the wonderful photo exhibition Summer Homework by Keiji Iwai. It was one of the delightful things I discovered at last Friday’s First Friday Artwalk.

Return to Heritage Square Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m. to hear Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra musicians Cindy Gould, David Vining, Nancy Sullivan, Steve Dunn, and Kent Eschelmann perform as the Mount Elden Quintet.

After the concert, stroll on over to Wheeler Park, where you’ll find the traveling Vietnam Veterans' Memorial Wall on display in Flagstaff this weekend.

One of Friday or Saturday nights, or Sunday afternoon, head on over to the Clifford E. White Theatre at Northern Arizona University to see The Odd Couple, this summer’s Flagstaff Town & Gown event.

There will be RE/MAX open house tours this weekend in two neighborhoods:  Ponderosa Trails on Saturday and Continental Country Club on Sunday. Look for the signs out in the neighborhoods and stop by!

Have a wonderful weekend in Flagstaff! (I’m going to buy a horse – yes, I said “horse,” not house!)
