 Core Values of Coconino County Program Head over to Coconino Community College on Thursday evening, July 9, to learn how to live sustainably in Flagstaff – even when you rent! Topics include reducing home energy use, rainwater harvesting, grey water re-use, edible landscaping, community gardening, solar cooking, running a car coop, bicycle commuting, working with your landlord, making Home Owners Associations more amenable to sustainable practices, organizing your neighbors for greater community cohesiveness, and civic involvement to make sustainable living easier for renters and members of HOAs.
Lisa Rayner, board member of Friends of Flagstaff Future, local permaculturist, and for coordinator for the Juniper Street Community Garden, will speak using a colorful slideshow. The presentation will be useful for:
- Renters of all kinds (apartments, townhomes, free-standing homes, etc.)
- Owners of townhomes and condominiums
- Residents of neighborhoods with Home Owner’s Associations
- Landlords and property managers
