| April 10, 2009 | | Art, comedy and the great outdoors await you in Flagstaff this weekend | If the weather forecast is correct, Saturday will be a day to hunker down inside at home in Flagstaff. But Flagstaff weather should be bright, clear and warm on Sunday. That would be a great day to visit The Arboretum at Flagstaff, which just opened for the season.
The Arboretum was featured this week in the Arizona Republic’s Travel and Explore section. Read it here: Visitors invited to wander lush, high-country gardens. One of the ever popular events at The Arboretum is the daily live birds of prey demonstration between noon and 2 p.m.
One thing worth going out for on Saturday afternoon would be the Recycled Art Exhibit at Coconino Center for the Arts. 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. Workshops and art demonstrations are scheduled through the afternoon. (Visit the Flagstaff Cultural Partners website for the full list).
If you have not yet had an opportunity to see the Theatrikos performance of A Comedy of Errors, I highly recommend seeing it Friday or Saturday night, or Sunday afternoon. It’s a very high energy performance and very funny. FlagLive and the Arizona Daily Sun reviewers agree.
Now that I’ve discouraged you about Saturday’s weather, I’m going to invite you to the RE/MAX open house tour anyway. Look for the schedule of open houses in the next post. | |
