Friday evening, March 27th – Enjoy a wonderful musical evening at the Chase Coleman Piano Recital. Mr. Coleman will be performing The Story of Babar the Little Elephant, with the assistance of the Coconino Community College’s dance club. The story of Babar will be narrated, after the fashion of Peter and the Wolf. This multi-talent recital is one of six events in the CCC “Passport to Culture” program - for more info, see www.coconino.edu/finearts/calendar. Admission is free, so bring the kids or come without – 7pm at the CCC Lone Tree campus.
Saturday, March 28th – there’s a Scandinavian Fair going on from 10am to 2pm, with local and distance artists, crafts, food and lots of fun. A meatball lunch will be available for sale. Saturday, March 28th – 10am to 4pm: Come and find out about your antiques or other collectibles at “What’s It Worth?” Antique Appraisal and Fair at the Armory at 320 N. Thorpe Road in Flagstaff. Professional appraisers will offer insights and information about your items (verbal appraisal only). There will be some vendors and a raffle. Admission is free but there is a fee of $10 per item appraised. This fair benefits Northland Hospice.
Saturday, March 28th – Lunafest, a fundraising film festival that seeks to provide awareness about women’s issues, will be in Flagstaff at The Orpheum (15 W. Aspen, in Flagstaff). The films, all made by women filmmakers, show women coming together in their communities, and highlight women leaders. There will be a 2:00pm matinee, and also an evening showing of Lunafest Films. Doors open at 6:30pm with a silent auction, Films begin at 7:30pm. There will be several guest speakers at the evening intermission. Admission for the matinee is $5.00. For the evening events, admission is $15 for adults, $25 for couples, and $10 for students. Proceeds from this event benefit the Breast Cancer Fund and Girls on the Run. Saturday, March 28th – Come and see 1,000 year old petroglyphs at an Archaeology Hike to Keyhole Sink Petroglyphs, Oak Hill Snow Play Area (4 miles west of Parks, AZ).
