Ann's Picks for Things To Do In Flagstaff This Weekend

Friday the 13th is symphony night in Flagstaff!
March 13 FSO Concert

Our own Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra, conducted by energetic Artistic Director Elizabeth Schulze, will feature organist Kimberly Marshall playing Organ Concerto in G Minor, by Francis Poulenc.  Additionally, the FSO will present Caitlin Sample, a Northland Preparatory Academy student and the 2008 Northern Arizona University Academy Youth Orchestra Concerto Competition winner!  Caitlin will play Serenade for Winds in E-flat Major, Opus 7, by Richard Strauss. There is more on the program, too. For program details, visit the Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra website. The pre-concert discussion begins at 6:30 pm, and the concert starts promptly at 7:30 pm.  On the campus of Northern Arizona University in Ardrey Auditorium.  For tickets, call 928-523-5661.

Saturday, the RE/MAX open house tour covers six homes in Ponderosa Trails and University Heights beginning at 10 a.m. and continuing into the afternoon. Look for details in tomorrow's post -- including info about a great new listing in University Heights!

Sunday night, celebrate Spring Break with a special Starfest program at Lowell Observatory. Explore the Discover the Universe exhibit hall. Exciting astronomy related multi-media shows repeat throughout the evening. Outdoor telescope viewing is weather-dependent. Tours begin at 5:30 Sunday evening.

Have a great weekend. If you are traveling from Flagstaff (or to Flagstaff) for Spring Break -- be safe!
