Theatrikos has a Valentine's weekend special with three popular downtown Flagstaff restaurants! Friday and Saturday, you can enjoy free traditional choral music and vocal jazz as the Northern Arizona University, Jazz/Madrigal Festival comes to Flagstaff. There will be performances at a variety of locations on the NAU campus and around town. For jazz guitar lovers, there is a special Valentine’s Day performance at Coconino Center for the Arts: Hot Club of Phoenix.
Looking for something different on the slopes of the Arizona Snowbowl? Sunday, the Coconino National Forest offers Ski with a Ranger as part of the NFS interpretative program. Meet at Midway at 1:30 p.m. for a one hour tour on skis. Discover how animals deal with and learn about avalanches. Learn about the Snowbowl of Flagstaff 70 years ago! Sunday night, enjoy a special night at Lowell Observatory, beginning at 5:30. Telescopes will be set up around the Lowell campus for viewing. The Orion Nebula will be a featured object to view.
