First Friday Events Kickoff the Weekend in Flagstaff

It’ll be a chilly evening to walk downtown Flagstaff – but fun as always!

First Friday Artwalk comes to Downtown Flagstaff again tonight. You can visit over forty art displays north and south of the railroad tracks and enjoy snacks and visits with the artists. Don’t miss the opening of my friend Debbie Leavitt’s Bodies of Work photography show at La Bellavia, 18 S. Beaver Street, which is stop #24 on the Flagstaff art walk map for tonight.

Earlier in the evening, you may want to take in First Stop, First Friday with the Canyon Movement Company at CDA Studio, 2812 N. Izabel St. (across from Coconino High School). You can make this your first stop on the First Friday Art Walk and enjoy dance and performance related events beginning at  5:30 p.m. and then head downtown for the main event.  Free. 928-774-3937.

Flagstaff Friends of Traditional Music sponsors a jam session at the Applesauce Tea House, 203 S. San Francisco, beginning at 7 p.m. for two hours. Stop in, have a great cup of tea and listen to some local Flagstaff acoustic players.

This is a great way to kick off a fun weekend in Flagstaff, AZ. For more events in our wonderful mountain town, check back here for posts on a regular basis or visit the Arizona Daily Sun calendar of events -- there is a link on your right.
