| September 23, 2008 | | Keeping all the home statistical reports straight is not always easy | Today, the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight said that home values in July 2008 were down 5.8% on a national basis from July 2007. I'm sure that the drop year-to-year will get the headlines. Five pages into the news release, you would find the graphic shown here with the note that the home values are were they were in October 2005. I prefer to follow this national trends on a quarterly, rather than a monthly, basis. You can see the latest report, including Flagstaff homes data, at this earlier post on the second quarter OFHO report.
Tomorrow, the National Association of Realtors will release its data for August resale home sales. Watch this blogsite for a summary of that information.
Meanwhile, you've had both months' reports for Flagstaff home sales and prices available on this blog for weeks: July Flagstaff Home Sales and August Flagstaff Homes Sales Data.
