| March 04, 2008 | | Your Flagstaff real estate agent had a busy day! | The second day today at the RE/MAX International Convention in Las Vegas was a FULL day. Starting with a three and a half hour session keynoted by Dave Liniger, founder of RE/MAX, and filled with announcements of new educational resources for RE/MAX agents, new television commercials, and the opportunity to see all of this illustrated on screens one would only see in Las Vegas. All of this is designed to encourage, and assist, RE/MAX agents to "reach for the sky"! Check out the Reach for the Sky webcast linked to the picture with this post. Lunch was spent meeting agents from Alabama, Rhode Island, Seattle, Southern Illinois, Ontario and the Islands of Honduras. Then to a two hour session on real estate agent team operations and ideas. This "team training" session was encouraging and validating that Team Heitland at RE/MAX Peak Properties is on the right track. Finally, I ended the day with time spent investigating new products and equipment that can help us help our clients. I held an informal conference with other agents from RE/MAX Peak Properties about how to share new equipment opportunities and a held a consultion with a new potential supplier and meetings with representatives of two technology providers that Team Heitland already uses about new features and upgrades. Meanwhile, I read that Ben Bernanke told bankers today it is in their own long-term interest to do more to help distressed homeowners, even if means reducing the principal on outstanding loans as a means to reduce payments. We'll see how that plays out in the next few days. | |
