"ABS" ~ Always Be Selling!

What’s Your Real Estate Agent Doing during the Holiday Season?

While I think it’s important to have a well-balanced life, I also take my full-time obligation to my real estate clients seriously, so when I leave for a bit of vacation or family time, as I will later this week, or for a professional conference, as I do at least twice per year, I like to know that the rest of Team Heitland at RE/MAX Peak Properties will be around to take care of things.

Meanwhile, I’m not slacking off on efforts to market my listings. I hear a lot of agents suggesting “take your home off the market for the holidays, it’s a slow time.”  It may be slower than May (... and maybe not this year), but one thing I can guarantee is that if your home is not being offered for sale, no one is going to buy it. Indeed, in an active second home market, like Flagstaff is, the week after Christmas is often a very busy time. This is because people have time off and, with the holidays behind them, their thoughts begin to drift to “where will I spend next summer.”

So, today we sent this flyer to over 700 agents in Flagstaff and the Phoenix area. And between now and the New Year, the two full-time buyer representative specialists on our team, Tina and Patty, will be selling Flagstaff homes. We’re working hard, even though it’s Christmas time.

That’s my 2¢ for the day.
